Highlights:
- I'm back and recovered from Farpoint. Had a great time. Programming at Farpoint just continues to improve every year. Interesting topics, polite and well-informed panelists, audiences with interesting things to say and kwillingness to engage, and a general level of respect from everyone, especially with different opinions. Farpoint panels are rapidly approaching the quality of those at Chessiecon...which is the highest praise I can give.
- This week I spent a good amount of time rearranging our kitchen, in anticipation of the new refrigerator's arrival. Hard and frustrating work, but worthwhile.
- The end of the month is always the time to finalize the next episode of Rule of Five. Writing this serial space opera has given me some of the most writing fun I've had recently.

I just recently found a copy of this 1983 Italian translation of my short story "Escape Velocity."
